How Can I Use the Integration Check of Friendly Captcha?
Friendly Captcha has a built-in integration check, so you can easily check if your Friendly Captcha integration is done properly.
The integration check runs automatically and checks for all the steps needed to successfully use Friendly Captcha. The integration check only works for the first integration of your application. All following integrations for this specific sitekey have to be checked manually.
After creating an application, the integration check is displayed in the upper right corner of the application overview. A more detailed view will appear at the top of the settings page of your application.
Depending on the settings of your application you will find the label v1 or v2. Both labels are displayed if you have activated v1 and v2 in your application.
Pending (waiting for requests).
This is the initial status for the check. This status means that the sitekey was created successfully and that there were no "puzzle get" requests.
In this status you have to integrate the Friendly Captcha widget into your website. After the integration of the widget on your website, this widget makes the "puzzle get" request by fetching a puzzle from our puzzle API.
The integration of the widget is described in our documentation.
You can have a look at the documentation for v1 or v2.
If you have integrated the widget into your website and this state does not change, have a look at our "Troubleshooting" section.
Pending (waiting for siteverify).
This state is shown when we have already seen "Puzzle Get" requests, but there has been no "Siteverify" request yet. The "Siteverify" request needs to be made from your backend server and verifies that the cryptographic puzzle solution is correct.
The verification is described in our documentation.
You can have a look at the documentation for v1 or v2.
If you have done the siteverify request and the verification still shows this status, see this article for common known solutions.
successfully integrated
This status means that there have been "Puzzle Get" requests and "Siteverify" requests for this application. Overall, this is a good sign that you have integrated Friendly Captcha the right way! This does not mean that the integration is finished! Depending on the integration, there are still some steps to take to ensure that you have full Friendly Captcha bot protection.
To make sure that no bots can break through your integration now, please also read our article "How can I test if my integration works?". If you can't submit the form when manipulating the "puzzle solution" and when javascript is disabled, your integration is done the right way! If you have any problems and can't find help here, don't hesitate to contact our support team!
